Kumeo is a translation company and was established in 2019 as Kumeo OÜ ( incorporated company ) with headquarters in Tallinn/Estonia. However, Tallinn is only the company's headquarters. As common in the industry, the actual translation work is done by specialized translators in different locations. At Kumeo, we therefore place great emphasis on data security and up-to-date hybrid encryption technology.

Kumeo is a regional translation company focusing on the languages of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Through our partner companies, our project managers can provide you with over 60 language combinations in the shortest possible time.
Experience shows that working with native translators is a must for a high-quality result. At Kumeo, translation is always done by a native speaker of the target language and in the translator’s area of expertise. Technical, legal and medical translations and especially patent specifications are part of our daily work.

In order to adapt your website or software to the linguistic and cultural characteristics of the respective target region, we offer you the appropriate translation services. As a regional language service provider, we are happy to coordinate the translation into several languages, thus ensuring that the content is translated exclusively by native speakers and tested in several phases until it is ready for the market.
Subtitling is challenging as source and target language rarely have the same word density or idioms, while the playback speed of the video must remain unchanged. Often sentences in the target language have to be shortened. Particularly in the case of long narratives with numerous characters, translators must delve deep into the subject matter in order to adequately convey the meaning. We work with great dedication on transcreation, i.e. to tell your stories optimally in the cultural context of the target language.
If synchronization of the video into one or more target languages is desired, we can take care of it. We do not operate our own sound studio. However, we have reliable partners and extensive experience in carrying out such projects, e.g. series on a leading streaming platform.
By involving native translators in the dubbing project, we ensure linguistic quality in the target language.
